2020 David Duband Gevrey-Chambertin

David Duband is regarded as one of the rising stars of Burgundy. He took over his family domaine at a very young age and now has more than 20 vintages of experience behind him. Starting out with small family holdings David, together with his business partner Francois Feuillet, have added to their portfolio of wines through the purchase of some exceptional old Grand cru vineyards throughout Gevrey Chambertin and Morey St Denis, including prime holdings of retiring vigneron Jacky Truchot.

This is also agreeably ripe and fresh with plenty of floral and earth elements on the mix of red and dark currant scents. The bigger and richer medium-bodied flavors possess fine volume and mid-palate density before culminating in a firm, mildly rustic and well-balanced if compact finale. This is a very good Gevrey villages that is worth considering. Drink from 2027+.
