2020 David Duband Nuits-Saint-Georges

David Duband is regarded as one of the rising stars of Burgundy. He took over his family domaine at a very young age and now has more than 20 vintages of experience behind him. Starting out with small family holdings David, together with his business partner Francois Feuillet, have added to their portfolio of wines through the purchase of some exceptional old Grand cru vineyards throughout Gevrey Chambertin and Morey St Denis, including prime holdings of retiring vigneron Jacky Truchot.

Once again there is a highly appealing freshness to the somewhat earthier aromas that also blend floral and spice nuances into wild red and dark berry scents. The rich, full-bodied and powerful larger-scaled flavors possess impressive mid-palate concentration while displaying good verve on the moderately rustic, complex and beautifully long finish. This is terrific for its level. Drink from 2028+.
