2020 Domaine Barmes-Buecher Leimental Riesling

Bright straw colour with a watery hue. Pronounced ripe lime and red apple scents are complimented by hints of honeysuckle, orange blossom, wet stone and distinct mineral notes. Rich, mouthfilling flavours of lime, red apple, pear and honeysuckle carry terrific volume and texture across the palate with infusions of orange blossom and slatey mineral characters lying underneath. Brisk acidity with a long and intense yet energetic finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

A muscular and concentrated dry riesling that manages to remain very clean and bright, in spite of 14% alcohol. The tropical-fruit aromas are only just opening up, but the balance of freshness and ripeness is spot-on. Long, silky finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2024.
