2020 Domaine Confuron-Gindre Nuits-Saint-Georges

The reputation of Domaine Confuron-Gindre is slowly spreading around the world now that they have starting allowing sales outside of private clients and a select few distributors in Europe. François Confuron-Gindre created the domaine in 1989 with his wife Claudine, and he has now been joined by their son Edouard, who has begun to refine the wines while continuing their structural and age worthy style.

Other Reviews....
Older vines on the Vosne side of the appellation. Really intense black with purple rim. Lush luxuriant cherries, sun-dried but sumptuous. There is a huge weight of fruit with good acidity, and a very long finish in this lush style. No more than 14% alcohol. This is still a touch too lush for my personal preference, but I think it will make a lot of friends.
