Here too there is a liqueur-like character to the nose of black raspberry, earth, spice and violet whiffs. The delicious and solidly dense medium-bodied flavors possess excellent depth and persistence on the balanced finale that is shaped by firm but relatively fine-grained tannins. This is also an excellent wine for its level and worthy of your interest. Drink from 2028+.

One of the more generous wines in the range is the 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Champerrier Vieilles Vignes, a medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping wine evocative of cherries, dark berries and sweet spices. It derives from a parcel planted in 1958.

Another concentrated purple colour. The bouquet is quite restrained but there is a wealth of attractive red fruit here, raspberry and alpine strawberry together, then a more savoury finish, a few tannins, no discordant acidity, and good length. A fine Gevrey if not quite the excitement of the Nuits-St-Georges.
