Other Reviews....
This is aromatically similar to the nose of the Chambertin though, as is almost always the case, there is a broader array of spice elements. The succulent and slightly finer larger-scaled flavors possess excellent vibrancy and focused power on the compact, complex and equally long and structured finale. Impressive. Drink from 2037+.

The 2020 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) is excellent, wafting from the glass with aromas of orange rind, dark berries, cherries, licorice, black truffle and exotic spices. Full-bodied, velvety and multidimensional, it's layered and complete, with lively acids, ripe tannins and a long, resonant finish. This will be very long-lived.

The 2020 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru has an intense, multi-faceted bouquet with vivacious black and red berry fruit, quite a noticeable marine/estuarine influence in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, fine acidity, taut and fresh with a harmonious, silky smooth finish. Lovely build in the mouth, this is a very well-crafted Clos-de-Bèze. Drink 2027-2060.

What a crazy nose, but in the best sense! Mulberry and blood orange – what a combination! Huge concentration and huge freshness, with zestiness that's really uplifting. And in combination with the great minerality that makes this an exceptionally exciting wine for the appellation. Dramatic vitality at the exuberant and very long finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

A lovely wine, with spicy, expressive fruit that recalls wild strawberries, flowers and spice. The texture is ethereal and perfumed, yet the wine is not lacking in substance nor length. Although it seems approachable even now, there is definitely great ageing potential here. The 0.42ha of the Clos de Bèze belonging to Jadot came from the acquisition of Domaine Clair-Daü in 1985. The grapes were destemmed and gently fermented. Drink 2025 - 2040.
