Mee Godard is one of the shining lights of Beaujolais, crafting uncompromising and sumptuous wines from her vineyards located primarily in Morgon, along with a tiny parcel in Moulin-a-Vent. Across this small estate most of the vines are very old, averaging 60 years plus, and the vines are tended organically with a clear goal of using biodynamic practices in the near future. Mee aims to produce wines with the capacity to age extremely well, and as such can benefit from good aeration, or preferably a few years in the cellar.

Other Reviews....
Aromas of sweet berries, spices and licorice introduce the 2020 Morgon Grand Cras, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and lively wine that's seamless and charming, though it can't quite match the depth of Godard's Corcelette bottling this year. Drink 2021 - 2030.

The intense elderberry and wild-thyme aromas pull you into this elegant and finely chiseled Morgon, where the balance of fine tannins, concentration and delicate fruit is spot-on. Very long finish with a lot of mineral freshness. Drink or hold.
