2020 Domaine Rostaing Le Vassal

A blend of 70% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre and 15% Grenache. Deep black dark red colour with a vibrant red purple hue. Alluring, freshly crushed scents of wild dark raspberry, cherry and liquorice escape from the glass followed by some crushed rock, earthy incense and peppered fresh herb notes. Rich, fresh and succulent the palate is awash with dark raspberry, blackberry and liquorice fruits which are underpinned by a youthful inkiness and bright acidity. Excellent intensity with some earthy incense characters, fresh herbs and pepper lingering on the back half. Slightly chalky tannins concluding long, energetic and exuberantly fruited.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
