2020 Famille Perrin Cotes du Rhone Reserve

From estate that owns the world renown Chateau de Beaucastel this a blend of 40% Grenache, 40% Mourvedre and 20% Syrah matured in a mix of oak barrels and stainless steel vats for a period of 12 months. Deep black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Drifting from the glass are scents of black cherries, liquorice and black raspberries trailed by some Provincial herb, earth and peppered meat notes. Juicy black cherry, blackberry and liquorice fruits show ample weight and flesh across the medium to full bodied palate with some scorched earth, herb du Provence and pepper characters also chiming in. Ripe, slightly chewy tannin structure with a generously fruited conclusion.
