2020 Franco Mondo Barbera d’Asti

Fermented and raised in concrete for 6 months with no oak. Deep black dark red colour with a vibrant dark red hue. Nosing offers up a mix of dark and morello cherries as well as liquorice infused with dried herbs, earth and spice. Juicy cherry and dark plum fruits are nicely fleshed across the mid weighted palate and complimented by bright acidity. Dried herb, inky earth and spice characters lie underneath. Slightly chewy tannins with a generously fruited mid length conclusion.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
