2020 Gilles Robin Papillon A’Leonie et Lucie Crozes Hermitage

Totally opaque black as night core with a bright purple red hue. Showing good elevation out of the glass are freshly crushed black raspberry, blueberry and liquorice scents which have a fresh provincial herb overlay followed by some incense and blackpepper notes. The medium weighted palate is very much in the blue fruit spectrum with some red liquorice, herbs du Provence, incense, earth and pepper also present. Fresh finish with a refined tannin structure and an elegant spicy blueberry led aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
