2020 Heirloom Vineyards Barossa Shiraz

Best known for their work at Dandelion Vineyards, Heirloom is another venture of Elena and Zar Brooks. Embracing the principals of organic and biodynamic farming this Shiraz was sourced from their best Barossa vineyards with maturation taking place in both American and French oak for a period of 18 months.

Gloriously rich and saturated with lavish, mouth- coating fruit, this is textbook Barossa Shiraz.

Impenetrable inky black heart with a very deep dark red black hue. Sent wafting out of the glass are hedonistic aromas of ripe blackberry, dark plum and liquorice which are complexed by smoky vanillin oak, mocha and peppery fennel like notes. Gloriously rich and lavish in its texture the intense, full bodied palate is saturated in a tidal wave of luscious black cherry, liquorice and blackberry fruit. Also chiming in are dark plum, smoky vanillin cedar, fennel and peppered earth elements.  The wines outstanding depth and power complimented by a ripe sturdy tannin structure. Concludes long, plush and opulently fruited.
