2020 Leconfield McLaren Vale Shiraz

Matured in French oak, 50% new, for 8 months followed by a further 6 months in 1-5 year old hogsheads. Black as night in colour with a bright dark red black tinged hue. Scents of liquorice and blackberry are complimented by plum, vanillin cedar and subtle spicy earth notes. Medium bodied the palate has a polished feel with flavours of blackberry and liquorice melding into spicy vanillin cedar, delicate black olive and blackpepper characters on the back half. Refined tannin structure with bright acidity and a peppery mid length conclusion.
