2020 Leeuwin Estate Siblings Shiraz
Midnight black heart with a youthful purple red hue. Pepper laced aromas of dark cherries, liquorice, smoked meat, vanillin cedar and spicy dried herbs drift from the glass. Juicy dark to black cherry and liquorice fruits overlay smoky vanillin cedar, earth and peppered dried meat characters. Bright acidity and slightly chalky tannins combine to lend a slightly compressed and grippy feel to the otherwise amply fruited mid length finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.5%
Other Reviews…..
Maybe it’s the juiciness or the savoury nuances interspersed with plump fruit, or maybe it’s simply a delicious, well-composed drink. Well, it’s all that and more. Fuller bodied but not weighty with ripe, grainy tannins and lots of appeal – including value. Drink by 2032.
