2020 Monte Tondo Mito Soave

The Monte Tondo vineyard can be found nestling in the gentle hills of Soave just a few kilometres from Verona on a slope overlooking the valley. Today it is 4th generation brother and sister team, Luca and Marta Magnabosco, who carry on their family’s passion for the land and its wines.
Twenty-five hectares of vineyards are situated on the best plots that the Soave zone can offer on predominately volcanic soils: Monte Tenda, Monte Foscarino and Monte Tondo. The wines produced, from 100% Garganaga, are intensely perfumed with an unmistakable Soave character somewhere between florals and fruitiness.
Brilliant water like colour with greenish tinged edges. Lifted pear aromas intermingle with red apple, subtle quince and spice notes. Fresh pear and green apple fruits are supported by a stony underbelly with some lime and fresh herb infusions also present. Combines good intensity with a rounded mouthfeel that resembles that of river stones. Finishes dry and crisp with a lengthy conclusion.
