2020 Paul Jaboulet Aine Parallel 45 Cotes du Rhone

A blend of 55% Grenache and 40% Syrah with the rest made up of Mourvedre, Carignan and Cinsault. Totally opaque black dark red core with a dark red hue. A fragrant mix of dark raspberry, red liquorice and dark cherry scents emanates from the glass followed by scorched earth, incense and peppered herb notes. Medium bodied the palate features juicy dark raspberry and cherry fruits over a back drop of red liquorice, infusions of incense, herbs du Provence and peppered earth. Slightly grainy tannins finishing with good freshness to the mid length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
