2020 Pierre Amadieu Roulepierre Cotes du Rhone

Pierre Amadieu is a family-owned domaine established in 1929 in the village of Gigondas. Wines are made, matured and bottled on the estate, which now covers 140 hectares. Pierre is in charge of winemaking and maturation, while his uncle Claude runs the vineyard.
Made from a blend of Grenache and Syrah this is a vibrant modern style of Cotes du Rhone. Very deep dark red core with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Spicy dark raspberry, black cherry and liquorice aromas are interwoven with scorched earth, dried herb and peppered meat scents. Juicy dark cherry, black raspberry and liquorice fruits flood the mid weighted palate with scorched earth, dried meat and peppered herb characters lying underneath. Fleshy mouthfeel with slightly chewy tannins. Concludes long, spicy and succulent.
