2020 Portarlington Ridge Pinot Noir

Deep very dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red to brick red hue. Ripe stewed plum and dried cherry aromas are followed by vanillin cedar, light earth and dried herbs. Plump and juicy, there’s ample weight to this Pinot but it lacks varietal character. Sweet, very ripe fruit is intermeshed with toasty cedar, earth and spicy anise. Slightly dryish but otherwise polished tannin structure with a ripe medium length finish.
