2020 Quartz Reef Bendigo Pinot Noir

From a vineyard planted in 1998 and now certified organic, this ripe, fleshy Pinot was aged in French oak barriques (28% new) for 12 months. Deep dark red colour with black shaded edges and a red to dark red hue. A fragrant bouquet of spicy dark to black cherries, anise and dark plum greets the nostrils followed by a mix of fresh herb, violet and forest floor notes. Rich dark to black cherry, anise and dark plum fruits fill the mouth with some dried meat, earth and spicy cedar characters lying underneath. Fleshy textural feel with polished yet structurally sturdy tannins. Excellent power with a long ripe conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Aromas of pitted red cherries, rose, moss and bark. Medium-bodied with silky texture and tannins. Perfumed and vibrant with so much floral and herbal complexity. So long as well. Beautifully composed and layered. Delicious. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
