2020 Taltarni Sparkling Shiraz

Fluffy purple tinged mousse with a black dark red core that has a very fine bead flowing through it. Wafting through the nostrils are ripe blackberry, dark plum and chocolate bullet scents which are married to toasty vanillin oak and earthy mocha notes. Rich, full and concentrated, decadent dark plum, blackberry and liquorice fruits have a lush feel across the palate. Toasty vanillin oak and earthy mocha elements lie underneath. The bold, opulent finish showing some heat.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

A dark-fruited, intensely flavoured wine with dark cherry and mulberry fruit accented by a touch of mixed spice and pepper. The bead is fine, and the sweetness is compatible with the fruit's intensity, acidity and papery tannin frame. It is a beautifully made wine that typifies this much-loved Australian style. Drink by 2026.
