2020 Vincent Pinard Flores Sancerre

Vincent Pinard is one of the most innovative and dedicated producers of the Loire Valley. He has 10 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc and 2.5 hectares of Pinot Noir, planted mainly on the hard chalky land of the commune of Bué.
Fermented in a combination of 95% large oak casks and 5% stainless steel tanks. Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of ripe pear, lime and red apple intermix with a subtle herbaceous grassy note and spice. Ripe and texturally full the palate features a rich pear, lime and red apple flavour profile over wet stone and some herbaceous grassy characters. Finishes dry with fresh acidity and a weighty yet brisk aftertaste that shows good length.
