2020 Woody Nook Limited Release Fume

A blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc barrel fermented and matured in French oak puncheons for 3 months and 20% Semillon. Bright pale straw colour with a greenish tinge to the outskirts and a watery hue. Herbaceous fresh asparagus top notes intermingle with grassy gooseberry, citrus, pencil shavings and smoky gun flint like notes. Intense passionfruit, ripe gooseberry and citrus flavours flood the mouth providing the palate with plenty of textural appeal. Herbaceous grassy asparagus characters, capsicum and spicy pencil shavings sit in the background. Finishes dry with crisp acidity and a lingering smoking gun infused aftertaste.
