2020 Yeringberg Chardonnay
Other Reviews....
Fully crushed and destemmed with several hours skin contact. Mainly barrel fermented, 25% new hogsheads and 25% mlf. A bright, medium green gold. Lovely aromatics with yellow peach and nectarine fruit as well as subtle oatmeal and grilled nuts. Orange blossom and a hint of matchstick too. Textured and bright in the mouth, I like the touch of grip on the long and satisfying finish. Drink by 2028.

Yarra Valley Chardonnay is a great place for the grape variety. And as I get older, and maybe wiser, I come into line with CM, as a champion of Victorian Chardonnay. Oh. Dear. Me.
Peach and fresh apricot, a little flint and struck match, cinnamon oatmeal, maybe a flicker of aniseed. It’s flavoursome, yellow fruit, but bright in almost grapefruity acidity, a light chalky feel to it, and a bright and intense finish offering some lemon zest and spice. It’s a little pithy with it. Lively, crunchy, wonderful. Drink 2023 - 2027+
