2020 Yeringberg Pinot Noir
Other Reviews....
Made from vines planted 1969–1974. Fully destemmed, 19 months in barrel. A light–medium ruby red. Perfumed with an earthy, old-vine complexity and spices such as clove, cinnamon and nutmeg. Delicate raspberry and cherry fruit on the palate, with a subtle backbone of tannin ensuring this will age effortlessly over the next 5–10 years. Drink by 2031.

Yeringberg perhaps the champions of alt dry whites, and Cabernet, though their Pinot can be very good too. Far be it for me to typecast anyone, but I think CM would dig this wine.
Cherry, spiced strawberry, an ozone lift, some ham hock, spice and minty perfume. It’s medium-bodied, bacon bone and spiced strawberry, cool acidity, a sappy rhubarb tang, fine dusty tannin, with a juicy cranberry cut. Almond and strawberry, with a gently smoky finish of good length. It has a bit of frisson, and something of an Old Skool Yarra mulchiness, and almond paste. No shortage of character. Drink 2023 - 2026.
