2021 Alpha Crucis Chardonnay

Matured in a mix of new, second and third use French oak barrels for 11 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarine, pear and bees wax meld into some subtle biscuity oak, citrus and spice notes. Light to medium weight and very elegant in its feel the palate features nectarine and pear fruits over delicate bees wax, biscuit, citrus, cashew and hints of minerality. Finishes dry with lively acidity and a focused yet cream tinged medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
