2021 Argiano Rosso di Montalcino

Made from 100% Sangiovese from vines ranging in age from 12 to 22 years old with maturation taking place in French oak for a few months.

Dark red core with black toned edges and a red to dark red hue. Attractive spicy red currant scents infused with rose petals intermix with tobacco, earth and dried herb notes. The elegant mid weighted palate features good underlying freshness with red currant and red cherry fruits to the fore. Dry, slightly grippy tannins with earthy tobacco, dried herb and spice elements lingering through the rustic yet savoury finish.|

The Argiano 2021 Rosso di Montalcino shows raspberry tart and strawberry shortbread on first nose. This is a simple but elegant wine that gives you exactly what you want from a Rosso with an exceptionally easy-drinking style. Aged briefly in cement and large oak casks, there is iris flower, almond and forest berry backed by fine, chalky tannins. This is the spirit of Rosso (in a 39,000-bottle release). Drink 2024-2028.
