2021 Atze’s Corner Giant Durif

Featuring Durif’s trademark colour saturation the wine pours an impenetrable inky black with an equally deep dark purple black hue. Morello cherry, liquorice and black plum aromas fill the nostrils followed by vanillin cedar, hints of earthy graphite and pepper. Rich morello cherry, liquorice, black plum and blueberry fruits have an opulent yet robust feel framed by a muscular tannin framework and bright youthful acidity. Vanillin cedar, scorched earth and spice characters lie underneath. The finish densely fruited, grippy and energetic.
