2021 Bass River ‘River Block’ Pinot Noir

Matured in new and used French oak barrels for 11 months. Semi translucent red colour with a light red tinged hue. Lovely violet led aromas of red to dark cherries and strawberries blossom out of the glass trailed by some anise, forest floor and spicy cedar notes. Light and supple the palate is layered with delicious red cherry and strawberry fruits that carry a juicy quality. Infusions of fresh herbs, subtle forest floor and spicy cedar lie in the background. Finishes with plenty of freshness, silky tannins and a medium to long savoury red fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
