2021 Castagna Growers’ Selection Chardonnay

Bright straw colour with a watery hue. Lifted ripe peach, honeycomb and apricot scents rise from the glass with some crème brulee, bacon fat, subtle butterscotch and spice also chiming in. Rich, full and well rounded in the mouth the palate is decorated with ripe peach, apricot and honeycomb flavours. Crème brulee, roasted almond and spicy bacon fat like characters sit underneath. Concludes long and generously textured.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Attractive scents of sweet and smoky spice, lemon balm, green apple, nectarine, clove. The palate similarly set, clove helps things along, more apple, fleshy texture but feels fresh, an undertow of saline, minerally stuff working things along nicely. Medium weight and attractive with great verity to the variety.
