2021 Chalk Hill Syrah

Midnight black in colour with a bright dark purple red hue. Aromas of dark plum and liquorice intermix with dried herb, spicy fennel, vanillin cedar, smoked meats and pepper. The mid weighted palate features spicy dark plum and liquorice fruits over fennel, smoked meat and peppered dried herb characters. Slightly chewy mouth feel with a sturdy tannin structure, good freshness and a fleshy finish that sees the emergence of some blueberry fruit.
