Matured for 18 months in a combination of new and seasoned American and French oak barrels. Inky black heart with a deep dark purple black hue. Aromas of liquorice, blackberry and black cherry meld into smoky vanillin cedar and blackpepper notes. Rich succulent blackberry and liquorice fruits lie over a back drop of scorched earth, vanillin cedar and blackpepper. Juicy mouthfeel with a sturdy tannin structure and medium to long blackpepper infused aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
