2021 Cooter & Cooter Shiraz

Made with a 3% Grenache component and 12% whole bunch inclusion. Maturation took place in 4 year old French oak for 8 months. Impenetrable pitch black heart with a deep dark red black hue. Heady dark plum, liquorice and black cherry scents sail out of the glass with notions of smoky vanillin cedar, fennel and peppered earth also evident. Rich, succulent dark plum, liquorice and black cherry fruits cascade across the full bodied palate in opulent fashion. Excellent intensity with notions of fennel, vanillin cedar and peppered earth characters lying underneath. Silky smooth tannins with a long, seductive conclusion that shows ample freshness. Winner of 4 trophies at the McLaren Vale Wine Show.
