2021 De Bortoli The Estate Vineyard Pinot Gris

Brilliant very pale straw colour with a faint tinge of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Lifted pear and red apple aromas have a delicate musk overlay with a hint of spice also evident. Delicious pear and apple fruits have a slippery feel across the supplely textured palate with some citrus, subtle infusions of musk and stony mineral elements lying underneath. Finishes dry and crisp with a brisk, nicely fruited aftertaste.

Fermented in both tank and cask with 8 weeks on lees post fermentation. A light, bright green gold. Attractive aromas of Granny Smith apples, citrus fruits and nectarines. Wearing the moniker Gris well, this medium-bodied and gently viscous wine closes with a good amount of grip on the fresh, chalky finish. Drink by 2025.
