2021 Domaine Barmes-Buecher Rosenberg Riesling
Bright straw colour with a watery hue. Ripe lime, pear and red apple skin aromas fill the nostrils followed by hints of honeysuckle, wet stones and minerals. Vibrant lime and red apple fruits are underpinned by racy saline mineral infused acidity. Delicate pear, honeysuckle and flinty wet stone like elements ensue. Dry and zingy it finishes bracingly fresh, lined with flinty mineral characteristics.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 13%
Other Reviews….
Incredibly complex nose with a wide spectrum of dried herb aromas plus notes of fine green beans, smoke and flint. A mouth-filling and mind-expanding finely-nuanced richness on the beautifully balanced palate. Then comes a wave of salty minerality that gently sweeps you away. A cuvee of six parcels with clay, limestone and sandstone soils. Matured on the full lees in large neutral oak for a year. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold.
