Plump and juicy with sturdy tannins imparting a gentle chewy feel onto the generously endowed finish.

A blend of 82% Shiraz and 18% Grenache aged in barrel (15% new) for a period of 3 years. Pitch black heart with a dark red hue. Lifted dark plum and liquorice aromas mix with some scorched earth and peppered dried herb notes. Plump and juicy the palate features rich black raspberry, liquorice and black cherry fruits over a vanillin spice, leather and peppered earth back drop. A sturdy tannin structure imparts a gently chewy feel onto the generously endowed mid length finish.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Other Reviews….
A blend of fruit from two estate vineyards in McLaren Vale, the split is Shiraz 82%, with Grenache making up the remaining 18%. The wine spent three years maturing in French oak, 15% of which was new. A dark maroon, this is plush, ripe, generous, soft and approachable. In other words, a guaranteed crowd pleaser. This is a wine full of flavour, we have notes of chocolate, dried herbs, blackcurrants, beefstock and tobacco leaves. Good focus here, this is a wine of medium length and fine balance. Sleek tannins making for very attractive drinking now and over the next five to eight years. Drink 2024-2032.
