2021 Envinate Parcela Palo Blanco
Migan and Palo Blanco are both very old vine wines from the Valle de la Orotava zone, although they don’t bear the D.O. stamp. The old vines are trained in the Trezendo fashion: braiding new shoots over older ones until the vines begin to resemble old dreadlocks weaving over the landscape. The terrain is flatter than Táganan, more conducive to farming. Migan is two parcels of Listan Negro, both over 100 years old, while Palo Blanco is a single vineyard from the town of Los Realejos planted on black volcanic soils.
Other Reviews....
The 2021 Palo Blanco has an expressive, clean and open nose reminiscent of flowers, herbs and a spicy twist. The wine is supple and fresh, with vibrant acidity and a long and salty finish. 12,000 bottles and 287 magnums produced. It was bottled in July 2022. Drink 2023 - 2029.

Fresh, reductive nose with a hint of white sesame. A mineral coating to the tangy lime citrus and pomelo skins. White chalk, freshly cut parsley and celery as well. A laser beam of piercing acidity provides energy, sharpness and speed to the pure and bone-dry palate that’s full of tension but no flesh. Demanding and austere, yet so delicious and effortlessly pure and gastronomic in nature, with electric linearity and a mouthwatering finish. Even more extreme than 2020? Only 11.5% alcohol. Embrace the acidity! Drink now.
