2021 First Drop Wines Mother’s Milk Shiraz

Superb colour density featuring an impenetrable inky black heart and a very deep black dark red hue. Heady blackberry, liquorice and dark plum aromas fill the nostrils with some vanillin oak, hints of earthy dark chocolate and spicy fennel also evident. Full in body the palate is drenched with rich dark plum and liquorice fruits which manage to retain good freshness within an opulent feel. Spicy vanillin cedar, fennel and delicate pepper characters linger on the back half. Polished tannins concluding with a youthful inkiness on the long succulent aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
