2021 In Dreams Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with a subtle greenish tinge around the outskirts and a watery hue. Aromas of white peach and dried honey drift through the nostrils trailed by some biscuity nougat and spice notes. Mid weighted flavours of white peach, nectarine and dried honey overlay traces of biscuity oak and spicy nougat. Good flesh finishing with ample freshness and a gentle creamed tinged aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Yarra Valley Chablis, if you like. Or that kind of style, anyway. Sweet pear, juicy green and red apple, nectarine, an element of honeysuckle and a light clip of cedarwood. Textbook in its loveliness. There’s an aspect of tart acidity here but it works in context and anyways, in time, the wine as a whole will shine all the more. Drink 2023-2029+
