2021 In Dreams Pinot Noir
Semi translucent bright red to dark red colour with a light red hue. Fragrant scents of violets, red cherries and strawberries laced with clove are trailed by some forest floor, fresh herb and spice notes. Light in body with a supple mid palate feel, savoury red cherry and strawberry fruits carry good freshness. Light vanillin cedar, forest floor and spicy fresh herb infusions sit in the background. Polished finely grained tannins with an elegant finish.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 13%
Other Reviews….
The label has been (slightly) redesigned, though I don’t yet have access to the new image. The quality is still at the same level. 15% whole bunches. Sourced from a range of Yarra Valley sites.
It gets the balance right between elegance/finesse and having enough flesh to satisfy. It just feels right. Strawberry and stewed cherry flavours with sweet spice, woodsmoke and (modest) deli meat. It’s lifted and perfumed, especially once it’s had a chance to breathe, and its fine-grained tannin too has been managed to perfection. So it sucks you straight in but it then has the structure and form to impress beyond the immediate. I’m scoring it 92, I could easily be 93, but my main ‘score’ is to recommend that at $32 this is a definite ‘buy’. Drink 2022-2028+
