2021 Jasper Hill Georgia and Friends Shiraz

Produced with Georgia’s Paddock fruit supplemented with grapes grown by friends within the Heathcote region. Dense inky black colour with a very deep dark red black hue. Intense liquorice, black cherry and blackberry aromas mix with delicately smoked vanillin cedar, earthy fennel and pepper. Rich and opulent the full bodied palate is flush with ripe blackberry, liquorice and black cherry fruits which are backed by a firm tannin structure that imparts a muscular feel. Subtle dark chocolate, spicy vanillin cedar, scorched earth and peppered fennel characters lurk beneath. Excellent power and depth with a long ripe, chewy conclusion.

What a deep and complex briar and spicy nose this exceptional Heathcote shiraz has! Cloves and crushed slate with gun metal. Very complex fine-grained tannins and great mineral freshness drive this over the palate and off into the distance. Excellent aging potential. Drink or hold.
