2021 Kaesler Cabernet Sauvignon

Fruit was sourced from two estate blocks planted in 1970 and 1990 with maturation taking place in a combination of new and seasoned French oak for a period of 16 months. Midnight black core with a dark red black tinged hue. Ripe blackcurrant and liquorice aromas fill the nose followed by vanillin cedar, light tobacco and bay leaf notes. Rich, dense and concentrated the palate is awash with opulent blackcurrant, dark plum and liquorice fruits which overlay a vanillin cedar, earth and bay leaf background. Sturdy yet velvety tannins with a long succulent conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
