Deep dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced black raspberry, black cherry and liquorice aromas are interwoven with dark plum, dried herb, scorched earth and spice notes. Rich dark raspberry, plum and liquorice fruits carry a plush feel across the medium bodied palate with notions of scorched earth and spicy dried herbs lying underneath. Velvet smooth tannins with a juicy mid length conclusion.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

This follows a passage of strident endeavours to make fresher expressions, occasionally at the cost of mid-palate weight, texture and optimal ripeness. Yet this falls on the better side. Just. Still a little thin, but riffs on charcuterie, spiced cherry, Seville orange and sous bois are jettisoned across a carriage of spiky tannins and saline freshness. Drink by 2025.
