2021 Leeuwin Estate Prelude Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon
Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Red to black currant aromas display a charry clove like overlay with hints of mulberry, dried meat and spicy dried herb notes also evident. The elegant medium bodied palate features red currant and mulberry, red liquorice flavours over a smoky cedar, earthy dried meat and spicy dried clove like back drop. Polished tannins with a fresh, red fruited finish of medium length.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 13.5%
Other Reviews….
Such an approachable wine, although it’ll continue to age well. Now it’s all upfront cassis and mulberries, spicy with dark mint chocolate, fresh tobacco and more. Fuller bodied but not weighty, this has lots of detail, with the oak integrated and fine raw-silk tannins throughout. Drink by 2033.
