A beautifully structured and very stylish Bordeaux styled blend.

A blend of 44% Malbec, 39% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Petit Verdot matured for 16 months in French oak barriques of which 35% were new. Midnight black heart with a dark red black tinged hue. Streaming out of the glass are elevated red to black currant and mulberry scents which are trailed by hints of black olive, cedary tobacco notes, earth and bay leaf. The concentrated medium bodied palate carries rich blackcurrant and mulberry fruits over a bed of subtle liquorice, vanillin cedar, tobacco, earthy black olive and spicy bay leaf accents. Refined in its feel it possesses a solid tannin structure and a long finish that shows great definition and poise.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 13.8%

Other Reviews……
It's an unusual combination, but oh, how it works. This wine from the cooler '21 vintage is one of the best. I like its restraint and poise which is achieved without compromising the deeply concentrated juicy fruity intensity. Lovely red fruit mix emerges with a juicy raspberry and rhubarb pie character. Perfectly balanced and perfectly integrated. Cellar 18 years.

This is taut, streamlined and tightly knit. Mid-weighted of feel and immensely savory, beaming scents of graphite, dried tobacco, black olive, lilac and currant along a barrel of sage-doused tannins, a glint of precision and class from attack to the long finish A complex wine with a considerable future ahead of it. Best the next day and the one after that given a bit of youthful inscrutability. Super value, too. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2025.
