2021 Moss Wood Ribbon Vale Elsa

Sauvignon Blanc fermented in French oak barrels of which 10% were new. Brilliant pale straw colour with distinct highlights of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Lifted pear and spicy green apple aromas meld into some light dried honey, pencil shaving and subtle herbaceous grassy notes. Light and fresh yet textural the palate features juicy pear, lime and green apple flavours over traces of dried honey, spicy pencil shavings and almond. Finishes dry with brisk acidity and a touch of herbaceousness to the long well rounded aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

The 2021 Elsa Sauvignon Blanc has lovely concentration on the palate, which, as the oak ribbons out over the finish, leaves a Tina wafer character in the mouth. This is a very classy wine that will live gracefully for some years to come. Drink 2022-2032.
