2021 Nautilus Chardonnay

Entirely barrelled fermented in French oak barriques (20% new) using indigenous yeast. A short period of lees stirring post ferment texturally enhanced the palate.
Bright yellow straw colour with a watery hue. Intense peach and nectarine aromas have a toast and dried honey overlay with some lemon butter and spice notes ensuing. Rich fleshy yellow peach and nectarine fruits drive the mouth filling palate flanked by dried honey, roast almond, lemon butter and spice characters. Finishes dry, subtlety creamed and long with oily toast like elements also chiming in.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
