Growing up in Healesville, a young Rob Hall did some summer work in the vineyards during the early to mid nineties before taking up full time work at Yarra Ridge then Punt Road. From 2002 to 2011 he was the winemaker at Mount Mary, it wasn’t until 2014 that he took the leap and began his own operation.
2021 was a superb vintage in the Yarra Valley, the slow ripening conditions producing wines with lovely aromatics, supple textures and plenty of moreish appeal. Harriet’s vineyard, planted in 1996 and named after his mother, is managed in sections with each one picked individually to create separate batches which undergo a variety of fermentation techniques in order to promote greater complexity. Ten percent whole bunch fruit was included with maturation taking place in French oak of which 50% was new.

An irresistible Yarra Valley Pinot Noir that seduces the senses with its gorgeous layers of fruit and supple texture.

Semi translucent dark red colour with black shaded edges and a light red hue. Showing terrific intensity out of the glass, alluring aromatics of violet, dark cherry and strawberry engulf the olfactory senses trailed by complexing notes of rhubarb, forest floor, dried herbs and spicy cedar. Light in weight and silky smooth the palate is canvassed with an expansive peacocks tail like wave of flavour. Delicious red to dark cherry, strawberry and rhubarb fruits are complimented by subtle anise, forest floor, dried herbs and spicy cedar. Velvety tannins. Highly polished it delivers the goods with outstanding power and depth, finishing exceptionally long and supple in texture.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
