The Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard CCS is produced from 100% Clone 4 Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the C1 Block. This section of the vineyard is situated in the heart of the valley. An alluvial fan provides excellent mineral deposits, and the rich soils are filled with marine sediment. Aged in 100% new Darnajou and Taransaud French oak barrels.

The last vintage for this legendary cuvée to be made with Beckstoffer fruit (the name will persist), the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard CCS is another incredibly classic, layered, unbelievably pure Cabernet Sauvignon that hits it out of the park. Crème de cassis, spring flowers, crushed stone, and tobacco notes flow to a full-bodied, pure, flawlessly balanced 2021 that has ample tannins but the mid-palate, concentration, and fruit to handle it. I love it.
