2021 Seville Estate Regional Series Chardonnay - Last Stocks
Brilliant pale straw colour with a subtle tinge of green around the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of white peach and nectarine meld into some dried honey, light biscuity oak, citrusy nougat and gun flint notes. Mid weighted white peach and nectarine fruits carry a refined freshness with subtle dried honey, biscuity oak and citrusy nougat characters in the background. Nicely balanced acidity finishing with a gently creamed aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 13%
Other Reviews…..
Made from purchased fruit, this a Yarra Valley blend predominantly from the Upper Yarra and made similarly to the estate chardonnays. Whole-bunch pressed and fermented in French puncheons and foudre. Designed to be enjoyed on release, this vibrant and open-knit wine has ripe, melon and stone fruits while the palate is creamy, balanced and long, for a Yarra chardonnay at this relatively modest price. Drink by 2026.
