2021 Shaw & Smith Riesling

Sourced from high altitude cool sites in the Adelaide Hills sub districts of Lenswood and Mt Torrens, 2021 was a terrific year for Riesling with slightly larger berries delivering wines with great flavour and purity.
Brilliant water like colour with a faint tinge of green around the outskirts. Intense lime juice and green apple scents are followed by citrus, talc, orange blossom and chalky mineral notes. Mouth watering lime, orange rind and citrus fruits are delivered with fantastic power. Traces of red apple, orange blossom infusions and chalky mineral like characters emerge on the back half. Finishes dry and energetic with crisp acidity and a long zippy aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
